To celebrate this occasion, students perform songs and plays, recognizing the contribution of their teachers. Students also show affection to their favorite teachers in the form of cards, speeches and chocolates.

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, all schools have been closed in recent months. With online courses, students and teachers will now virtually celebrate Teachers' Day 2021

Every year, students prepare a speech for their teachers, to convey their best wishes and gratitude. Even this year, students can prepare a home speech, which can be performed online, at virtual celebrations.

We list some sample speeches you can prepare this year:

Happy Teachers Day Speech 1

Good Morning to all my beloved teachers!

As we all know, we came together to celebrate Teachers' Day online. Let me take this opportunity to thank all of our teachers, who have worked very hard to teach us online. Taking education to the next level, this year may have given us some tough times, but our teachers have surely been a beacon of hope.

From guiding us to motivating us, this year our respect for teachers around the world has increased tremendously. We know this has been difficult for all of us, but the teachers have been our lockdown mentors. They supported us throughout and helped us cope with online courses and tests.

In these difficult times, I want to thank all teachers on behalf of every student for your continued support. Thank you for guiding us, inspiring us and making us who we are today!

Happy Teachers Day Speech 2

Good Morning to all my beloved teachers! As we gather here today to celebrate Teachers' Day, I want to thank every teacher, who has been our guiding force during the lockdown. You not only taught us the new way to learn but you also motivated us during the lockdown.

As Teachers 'Day is celebrated every year, I would like to take this opportunity to talk about the history of Teachers' Day and why we celebrate it:

Every year, Teachers' Day is celebrated on September 5. Do you know why this date was chosen? This day marks the anniversary of the birth of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an Indian scholar. He was also the second President of India from 1962 to 1967.

He was a great scholar, who devoted his life to education. Once his students asked him to celebrate his birthday. He simply responded and said, “Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5th is celebrated as Teachers' Day.

His birthday was then declared Teachers' Day, to thank all the teachers. Since 1962, September 5 has been celebrated as Teachers' Day in India.

Finally, I would like to end my speech with the quote from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam: “The purpose of education is to make good human beings with skills and expertise. Enlightened human beings can be created by teachers.

Thank you to all my teachers, who have always been our guide and our support system!

Happy Teachers Day Speech 3

Guru Govind dou khade, kake lagoon pay

Balihari Guru Aapne Govind Diyo Bataye

In this doha, Kabirdas ji has told the importance of Guru more than God. According to Kabir, when both God and Guru met standing in front, there was a dilemma in the mind that whom to greet first? But I am thankful to God that he pointed. That is, he told that give respect to the guru first.

Today we are celebrating Teacher's Day to honor this Guru. The celebration of Teacher's Day in India started from the year 1962. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former Vice-President of India, has made a huge contribution in the field of education of the country. He was born on the date 5 September 1888.

After he became the Vice-President, some students, friends talked about celebrating his birthday. Hearing this, Dr. Radhakrishnan said, instead of celebrating my birthday, I would be proud if Teacher's Day is celebrated on this day. Since then, Teacher's Day is celebrated every year in our country on 05 September. On this day we honor and thank all the teachers by remembering them.

Teachers Day in India has a very different significance of its own. Here on Teacher's Day, there is a different way of honoring our gurus. Some bring gifts for their gurus, call them, then remember the words of their gurus with reverence.

Today, on this occasion, you can also take a resolution to increase the respect of your Guru. Much more can be said on the importance of Teacher's Day. But now I would like to end my talk with a verse.

Teachers Day Speeches by Famous Personalities

APJ Abdul Kalam: Former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam was the teacher we all needed in life. With his simple words, he was able to motivate many people to pursue their dreams. One of his very important speeches during his tenure as President of India the spoke of students must challenge.

As quoted in the speech, he said: “The educator should strengthen the capacities of the spirit of inquiry, creativity, entrepreneurial and moral leadership among the students and become their role model.

APJ Abdul Kalam was also pro-liberalization, which is why his speech also included this: If a country is to be free from corruption and become a nation of beautiful minds, I firmly believe that there are three key members of society that can make the difference. They are the father, mother, and teacher.
